Kartchner Caverns State Park

A wonder of nature - on of the few living caves. A stunning limestone cave that boasts many world-class features that have been protected since the cave was discovered in 1974. Reservations recommended for cave tours.

Catalina State Park

This scenic desert park, at the base of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains, offers camping, hiking, equestrian trails, plant and wildlife viewing and picnicking within minutes of Tucson.

Picacho Peak State Park

For you trivia buffs - the site of the western most battle of the Civil War. This 1,500 foot mountain peak has been used as a landmark by travelers for more than 150 years. Trails wind up the peak and often in the spring overlook a sea of wildflowers. On your way, stop at the Ostrich ranch - but watch your fingers!
